We were talking about how Pinterest decides whether a particular Pin is worthy to shown to millions of people or not…
Because once we can figure that out…getting to 100k views a month is within our grasp.
I briefly hinted that there is “actually” a way so we can figure out how Pinterest makes “those” decisions.
That’s what we are going to cover now-
The first thing you have to know about Pinterest is…
…unlike human beings or animals whose decision making process is unpredictable like for example…
…if you see a cat on your floor right now, and you ask your friend – “Hey, where do you think this cat is going to be in like 5 minutes?”
There's no way she can tell you because the cat’s decision-making process is completely unpredictable.
Fortunately, Pinterest is not like that…
Pinterest is not a living being or a human being, it's just a computer program…and that means just like any computer program lives and dies by its rules.
So the good news is there are certain rules (it’s not random and unpredictable), and if we just manage to figure it out we will get a lot of traffic.
Where do we begin?
Clue #1:
To get a lot of traffic from Pinterest, we have to start treating it like a computer program (not a human being) for example a computer program can't see how beautiful your blog is, it can't see how amazing your logo, is it doesn't care about how long or how helpful your blog posts are…
…because only a human being can understand those things - not a computer program.
Makes sense?
The reason why we don't get traffic from Pinterest is that we're thinking like a human being, whereas we should thinking like a computer program.
That’s why a lot of bloggers spend most of their time focusing on / improving the wrong thing.
Does that make sense?
That's why most bloggers never get traffic.
Because 'Pinterest list' of what it wants - is completely different than what we assume.
Clue #2:
So how do we find out these rules that Pinterest lives by?
It's kind of like cracking a password…
Have you ever tried to hack someone's password?
Even if you haven't done it yourself…you might have seen how it's done in the movies.
There are only two ways to crack a password.
Either you imagine what the other person might have put as their password in - like their birthday or their daughter's name, you get the idea…
Or, you try to imagine every single possibility that exists and you try all of them.
In the same way, there are two ways to find out what the rules of Pinterest are-
Number one: you hack and decipher what the employees of Pinterest wrote inside your computer program…
But that's impossible since it would be illegal!
Thus, we are left with the only option: try all the possibilities
The problem is if we kept trying all the possibilities and all the different combinations it would take us years and years to find the right answer.
So what do we do? There is a way...
Hear me out:
What if we could get access to someone's secret files - I mean there's got to be someone who has cracked the code, right?
There must be someone who has already tried all the combinations and figured out what these rules are - either by luck or hard work, it doesn't matter.
What if we could get access to that?
Wouldn’t that make our life really easy?
Of course, it could.
But there's one final hurdle we have to get through...
Anybody could claim that they have figured out Pinterest's "secret" rules...
Anybody on the street could say – hey, look I know how Pinterest works and I could you show you how to get lots of traffic...
So how do we know for sure - if I if whatever the other person is saying is real...
...how do we know that they have really cracked the code and they're just not talking out of their butt?
The only real way to verify if someone actually knows the rules Pinterest or not is to see how many people have applied it and what kind of results they got...
That’s exactly what I’ve been doing for the past 6 months…
